THIS LITTLE CREATURE

During this time of Covid-19 I have felt that I need others, that we need each other, that we are in this together — to keep each other safe. Most or many of us wear masks and thoroughly wash our hands — to keep the infinitesimal invader at bay.

This is a time for friendships, zoom parties and walks in the park, picnics at six- feet distance.

I’ve spent more time on the telephone and zoom, a new preoccupation so that I can party and play. Oh! It’s so important to laugh — to assuage the loneliness that can set in after nine months of working and staying close to home.

I did travel to the West Coast, which was a delight, but now I’m back at home, figuring out ways to feel safe in the presence of this little creature.

Take a look at my poem: “Tale of a City (State)” that is witty and rebellious. https://www.lindamarsanico.com/post/tale-of-a-city-state

My current essay is a serious statement about life with Covid-19. Yes, we shall overcome. Let’s remember that together we are strong.

Peace & Love

I am a writer - mostly about love and compassion. I believe that this is a profound way for me to be spiritual, by walking the walk and talking the talk.
